Ernest Hemingway Look-Alike Contest - July

Hemingway, one of America's premier novelists, spent years in the Key West area. Characters, settings and story lines in some of his works bear striking similarities to actual experiences Hemingway had here. See if you can bear a striking similarity to the man during this weekend festival celebrating his life and literary contributions.

Lobster Mini Season - Last Wednesday & Thursday of July

Each year hundreds of noncommercial fishermen take to the waters for the annual kickoff of the eight-month lobster season. The entire family will enjoy gearing up, diving in and trying their luck against Florida's spiny lobsters. The KOA marina has everything you need to help your family embark on a successful lobstering expedition.

Labor Day Blowout

Sweltering in the city? Catch the tropical breezes and frolic with us over Labor Day weekend. We'll host games, events and cookouts for all our campers who come out for one last summertime hurrah.

29th Annual Fantasy Fest - Late October

Christmas in the Keys

The only thing white about Christmas in the Keys is our sandy beaches. We won't have snow, but we will have a festive boat parade through the Historic Seaport District every weekend.

New Year's Eve - December 31

Forget the apple - we'll drop a conch shell from Sloppy Joe's roof and a wench from the 110-foot mast of an authentic pirate ship! Groove to the tune of the live music, dance the night away and welcome the new year under a spectacular oceanfront fireworks display.
